Long, Long time ago. I can still remember being asked to come shoot a burlesque show by the producer of Fright Night – NYTE MARE who had performed at a CRDL bout I had shot.

I had no idea what I was doing, and every frame was too soft (okay out of focus). I came away thinking I sucked at live gig photography but at least I didn’t have to change my state to the extreme to be able to do the thing. I am so glad that I’ve never seen anyone feel the need to get totally wasted to build the courage to be themselves on stage since this gig.

I think burlesque has built a community that supports people to be their best selves.

Shining Light of the evening… I got to see Chocolate E Claire perform and I still shoot for her hopefully regularly this year.
